Our goal was quilting for our charity programs.

Jen and Alice and young Dahlia

Margaret - being productive

Stephanie - binding a quilt

Teresia - leaving after a hard days work

Dee was here too.  The photo didn't turn out.  So sorry Dee.  We always have a good time sewing together and some of us bring homework back home with us.

February 2016 Meeting

I think we had a very productive meeting this month.  We began with monthly business and decisions were addressed quickly.

Then on to the program...... Several months ago, Kathy B and Stephanie presented the paint chip challenge and provided a table runner pattern.  Everyone was to create the tablerunner with fabrics represented in the paint chip colors.  The result was to recognize the difference of appearance by where you used color.   We have some fun photos to share ..........

The camera caught Margaret with an expression of  "Truly,  why am I here?"

Here is a pic of our always delightfully happy Dee.  (I want some of her vitamins)

Here is a pic of our over- talented Lesa

The camera caught Lesa again,  Sharing her project with a quilter friend.  and that's Joyce sitting to the right of her.

This is Susie R. showing us the beautiful palette she chose for her table runner challenge.

and here is Mary D. with Susie, sharing her choice of lovely fabrics for her tablerunner challenge.

Margaret showed off this gorgeous Irish Chain quilt that she made for one of her sons.  It was dramatically lovely with the black background.

Our charity show began with this awesome T-shirt quilt made by happy Dee.  The t-shirts were all from the 4-H programs.

This is the beginnings of a stack of quilts for the hospital made by our over-achiever Joyce.

This photo shows the rest of the children quilts in the pile.  Thanks every so much for your dedication to our mission work, Joyce!

Finally, don't forget our charity sew day coming up Saturday, February 20th.  Bring something to work on or let Steph know what she might bring from our stash donations for you to work on.

Someone always brings chocolate.   SEE YOU THERE !
